REF NO: refs/057234 Requirements: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Registration certificate with HPCSA as an Independent Practitioner and current registration as a Medical Practitioner. Grade 1 - None after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Grade 2 - A minimum of 5 years appropriate experience as Medical Officer after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Grade 3 - A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience as Medical Officer after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. OTHER SKILLS: Excellent time management ,organisational skills,communication skills, computer skills, listening skills, people management skills, teamwork skills, self-motivated and goal oriented, analytical and solution oriented, ability to thrive well under pressure, ability to efficiently communicate with personnel at various level. Powered by Department of e-Government Duties: Handle referrals and transfer from level 1,2,3 facilities from the Hospital drainage areas. Daily wards rounds and outpatient care in the subspeciality unit. Attend consultations from other departments. Up- referral of properly worked-up, appropriate patient as needed. Down - referral of all stable patients to level 1 clinics, assist in updating protocols and SOP's as required. Facilitate in-service training of junior medical officers, nurses and supplementary health professionals. Attendance of academic and district meetings and keeping abreast of developments in the field. Liaise with other general and subspeciality units/ departments/local community clinics to assist them with consults and to facilitate transfer of the patients when needed. Familiarize yourself South African National Health Act 61 of 2003.
