REQUIREMENTS: Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R254) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. Or a 4 year Bachelor D egree in Nursing (R174) or equivalent qualification (R683 plus R1497 or R171 plus R1497) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. Experience: Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse in General Nursing. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse in General Nursing. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work shifts, day & night duty, weekends and public holidays to meet the operational requirements. Willingness to rotate to other departments if required. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to function/ make decisions independently and as part of a multi -disciplinary team. Good communication, interpersonal, leadership and conflict resolution skills. NOTE: No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. DUTIES: Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan (Clinical practice/ quality patient care). Implement standards, practices, criteria and indicators quality nursing (quality of practice). Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize human, material and physical resources efficiently.
