Bid packs for government tenders
A missed returnable document or an expired certificate can disqualify a bid. For each tender you choose, Honde reads the tender documents, checks what they ask for against your company's documents, and prepares the pack: a checklist, a covering note and the SBD forms, ready for you to check and sign.
What you get for each tender
- A bid-readiness checklist: each requirement in the terms of reference, such as CSD registration, tax compliance, B-BBEE, CIDB grading and certified copies, against what you have on file.
- What blocks you: a missing CSD number or tax PIN, documents that expire before the closing date, and unmet mandatory requirements, in plain sentences.
- The briefing session, with its date and place, and whether it's compulsory.
- A fit assessment with a go or no-go, a CV and covering note for the bid, and a submission checklist.
- SBD 1, SBD 4 and SBD 6.1, filled from your saved answers, to sign by hand.

Which plan includes tenders?
The Max plan. Browsing open government tenders on Honde is free for everyone.
Where do the tenders come from?
National Treasury's eTenders portal, read once a day through its open data feed. Each tender links to its eTenders listing and documents.
What's in a bid pack?
A bid-readiness checklist of every eligibility and returnable requirement in the tender documents, marked ready, missing or to check against your register; any compulsory briefing; a fit assessment with a go or no-go; a CV and covering note for the bid; and a submission checklist.
Which SBD forms does Honde fill in?
SBD 1, SBD 4 and SBD 6.1, National Treasury's standard bidding forms, filled from your saved answers without changing their wording. If the tender has its own SBD forms, you also get an answer sheet to copy onto them. You sign and date each form by hand.
Will it remind me of deadlines?
Yes. Honde emails you 48 hours before a compulsory briefing or the closing time of a tender you're bidding on or saved, and reminds you before your tax PIN, B-BBEE, CIDB or COIDA documents expire.
Does it submit the bid for me?
No. Honde prepares the pack and the forms. You check them, sign them and submit the bid yourself.
Can it write the proposal?
It drafts one from your company profile, following the tender's structure and evaluation criteria. It doesn't invent clients, numbers or credentials: if a fact it needs is missing, it asks you.
