Introduction: An exciting opportunity is available for an ambitious accounting professional to step into an Accounting & Tax Manager role . This position is ideal for a driven individual with a strong foundation in accounting and taxation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage accounting and tax-related responsibilities. Based in Durbanville, Northern Suburbs . Key Performance Areas: - Oversee accounting and tax-related functions. - Manage tax compliance and ensure submissions are completed accurately and on time . - Review financial information and accounting records. - Ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulatory requirements . - Assist with financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements . - Manage deadlines and ensure efficient workflow across accounting and tax functions. Requirements: - Fluent in Afrikaans (essential). - Articles to be completed in December 2026. - A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation and financial reporting. - Experience with tax compliance, tax planning and preparation of tax returns. - Knowledge of SARS regulations, eFiling and tax submission - Understanding of VAT, PAYE, provisional tax and income tax. - Experience with the preparation and review of annual financial statements. - Knowledge of financial reconciliations, general ledger management and trial balances. - Ability to interpret financial information and identify discrepancies. - Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. - Strong leadership and team management potential. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Professional client relationship management and the ability to communicate financial and tax matters clearly. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. - Ability to work under pressure and meet strict statutory deadlines.
