Introduction: An established, award-winning architectural practice in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Candidate Architectural Technologist to join its creative and technically accomplished team. Key Performance Areas: - Assist with projects across all architectural work stages, from inception and concept design through to construction and close-out. - Develop creative architectural concepts and translate them into practical, buildable solutions. - Prepare detailed Revit models, technical drawings, schedules and construction documentation. - Produce council-submission and tender documentation. - Coordinate architectural information with engineers, consultants, contractors and suppliers - Attend client, consultant and site meetings. - Conduct site inspections and assist with construction monitoring and contract administration. - Respond to site queries and resolve technical or detailing challenges. - Ensure drawings and documentation comply with building regulations, project requirements and internal quality standards. - Assist with material selection, specifications, detailing and design presentations. - Manage assigned deadlines and deliverables across multiple projects. Requirements: - Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology. - Registered with SACAP as a Candidate Architectural Technologist - Proven professional experience within an architectural practice - Strong proficiency in Revit - Experience across all architectural work stages - Practical construction-site and contract-administration experience. - Ability to produce both aesthetically considered designs and technically accurate documentation. - Experience working on contemporary residential, commercial or mixed-use projects would be advantageous. - Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, materials and building regulations. - Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills - A professional architectural portfolio demonstrating both design and technical capabilities.
