Introduction: Our client, an established multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Revit Draughtsperson to join their team in Pretoria . Key Performance Areas: - Lead the 3D modelling & detailed draughting for mechanical building services projects. - Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, BIM managers, & other discipline draughtspersons to resolve design spatial conflicts. - Ensure all drawings adhere to company quality standards, project specifications, & standard industry codes. - Maintain model integrity, family creation, & drawing sheet setups within Revit. - Update drawings & models based on site variations, design revisions, & engineering markups. - Manage revision control & file distribution for design deliverables. Requirements: - Relevant qualification in Draughting, CAD, or Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 5+ years of relevant draughting experience in multi-disciplinary building services. - Proven expertise in HVAC, Wet Services, & Fire Protection systems. - Solid, hands-on experience using Revit Mechanical & AutoCAD. - Strong understanding of South African building regulations, codes, & standard draughting practices. - Autodesk Revit (Mechanical / MEP) - Autodesk AutoCAD. - Navisworks (Advantageous). - Production of detailed 3D Revit models & 2D AutoCAD drawings for HVAC, Wet Services, & Fire Protection systems. - Coordination & clash detection of mechanical services within multi-disciplinary building models (Architectural, Structural, Electrical). - Development of layout drawings, schematics, plant room details, & section views. - Extraction of schedules, material quantities, & component specifications directly from BIM models. - Alignment of BIM/CAD models with project standards & BIM Execution Plans (BEP). Key Skills & Competencies: - High attention to detail & precision. - Strong spatial awareness & 3D coordination capabilities. - Problem-solving skills regarding service clashes & routing. - Effective communication & team collaboration. - Ability to work independently & manage multiple project deadlines efficiently.
