Curio Shop Assistant | Hazyview | 5-Star Lodge Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and service-driven Curio Shop Assistant to join a prestigious 5-star lodge in Hazyview. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the curio shop, assisting guests with purchases and ensuring that the shop is always presented to the highest standard. This role requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a natural ability to engage with guests and a passion for sales and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Welcome guests into the curio shop and provide friendly, attentive assistance. Assist guests with product enquiries, recommendations and purchases. Promote and sell merchandise while identifying opportunities to upsell. Ensure all products are neatly displayed, well-stocked and attractively presented. Monitor stock levels and assist with stock counts and inventory control. Process sales transactions and handle cash or card payments accurately. Maintain cleanliness, organisation and overall presentation of the shop. Ensure guests receive a professional and memorable shopping experience. Assist with daily opening and closing procedures. Requirements: Previous retail, sales or customer service experience is advantageous. Experience within a luxury lodge or hotel environment would be beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A friendly, approachable and well-presented personality. Strong sales skills and the confidence to engage with international guests. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer literacy and cash-handling experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A professional attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for guests. Salary: R7,000 per month.
