REF NO: WCMD 91/2026 REQUIREMENTS: An NQF Level 6 qualification or equivalent, plus Traffic Officer Diploma; A minimum of 3 years of middle management -level experience. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Implement legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions; use information systems that support the management of knowledge and information relating to the line function; conduct quality assurance and evaluate training provided to safety and security agencies; manage projects; implement operational management practices; manage procurement and tendering processes; develop, implement, monitor and review policies and operational processes; manage modern systems of governance and administration; manage public service procedures, processes and systems; manage public finance, human resources and related administrative processes; manage financial processes in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations and other applicable financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; manage performance management processes; Skills: perform numeracy and literacy functions; use computer systems effectively; communicate effectively in the required language; manage projects; perform accounting, finance and audit functions DUTIES: Manage knowledge management for the Directorate; manage quality/impact assessment for the department; Manage quality monitoring systems for the directorate; plan and manage the work of and account for the overall performance of the sub-directorate; people management; and financial management.
